In Thailand, you can see some typical greeting by Thai people.
it's called 'wai', slight bow with the palms pressed together in a prayer-like fashion.
Regardless of religion, gender, age or nationality,
everybody greet as 'wai' in Thailand.
American actor Nicolas Cage, McDonald, Michelin tire, or foreiners...
Normally the higher the hands are held, the more respect or reverence the giver of the wai is showing.
you can see the man in front of crocodile ^^*
If someone wai to you in Thailand,
please return a wai that is offered as a sign of respect.
(if you are not unaccustomed, you can smile with some nod.)
